Simply the Worst
Thanks to the powers at Twickenham, the Hampshire III side now stand
officially as the most inept club in junior knockout rugby. Back in September,
they lost in the first round of the Tetley's bitter vase to the University
of Portsmouth, only to be reinstated after the students were disqualified
for fielding an ineligible player. In the second round, E&R promptly
lost 78-8 to The Law Society, making it the tenth successive year of failure
for the Club. Their Cup record? Played 11, lost 11 - points for,
68: points against, 508.
